Sur notre site de Braine-l'Alleud, notre service Quality Assurance recherche une personne parlant couramment l'anglais pour assumer une fonction comportant un grand nombre de contacts avec nos partenaires constructeurs automobiles européens et notre maison mère au Japon.

You will be part of a multi national team whose task is to make AWE the market leader for Quality and Customer Satisfaction for Automatic and Hybrid Transmissions.

Our main business is working with European OEM, ensuring product Quality through the complete project life-cycle (from concept, development, plant set-up and throughout its whole lifetime).


As a Customer Quality Engineer, your role will encompass the following tasks:

  • Manage the claims received from the vehicle assembly plants of our customers. This includes collecting information about the issues, organising part recovery, coordinating the investigation, controlling the implementation of counter-measures and finally reporting results to customer
  • Perform Go&See at vehicle plants (and at dealers, as back-up): evaluation/measurements on vehicle to confirm symptom detailed occurrence conditions prior part recovery and investigation
  • Perform process checks and trainings at vehicle assembly plants to confirm correct handling and assembly of AW products

In order to perform the above tasks, you will collaborate with various AW departments (such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales) located in both Europe and Japan.


An engineer in (electro-)mechanics, you have gained a first successful experience in a technical-commercial role in a quality position, preferably in an industrial sector with a focus on quality. Candidates holding a bachelor degree with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience will also be considered.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to ‘think outside the box’

Self motivated, sense of ownership with strong written & verbal communication skills.

Ability to perform data acquisition / debug activities on vehicle.

Experience in using a CAN network or FlexRay network would be a strong asset.

Ability to work as interface between our customers & parent company located in Japan.

Ability to organise and prioritise effectively ensuring targets and deadlines are met.

Able to work cross functionally at all levels and respond quickly to changing demands, backed up by a willingness to learn & voice your own opinion.

A good team player, with strong communication skills who questions the norm and strives to provide solutions.

Affinity for automotive technology is an asset.

Competent with MS Office – Excel, Word, Powerpoint.

Willing to travel: up to 40%.
